“O say, does that star-spangled banner yet wave
O’er the land of the free and the home of the brave?”

I was
born in Mumbai, India and grew up in Dammam, Saudi Arabia. When I was 15, I came to America to attend Western Reserve Academy near Cleveland, Ohio. In 1997, I went to Dartmouth College in Hanover, New Hampshire where I majored in computer
science. I got my M.D. from Johns Hopkins in
May 2005. Right now, I am a resident in Neurosurgery at the Cleveland Clinic in Cleveland, Ohio. My wife, Sara Mavinkurve, is a law student at Case Western Reserve University, in Cleveland. She’s the best friend ever. My
parents live in India. My father is retired, after
working for Hempel Paints for about 30 years in the
Middle
East.
During the academic year, my mother is in Dammam, Saudi Arabia teaching high school. Check out
my brother, Sanjay’s, website. He works
for Google at their headquarters in Mountain View, California. He finished a B.A/M.S. program
in computer science (with honors) all in just 4 years at Harvard in 2003. He
also minored in French. He is one of the most amazing people I know.
